Fan Companion is a fan intelligence platform operated by DSE Group FZCO, registered in Dubai, UAE. We provide AI-powered fan engagement tools to sports organisations, events, clubs, and leagues ("Clients").
When fans interact with a Fan Companion deployed on a Client's website, the Client is the data controller and we act as a data processor. We process fan conversation data on behalf of our Clients to provide the service. This Privacy Policy covers data processing performed by fancompanion.ai directly. Each Client may have their own privacy policy governing their use of the platform.
Fan Conversations: When a fan interacts with a Fan Companion widget, we process the text of the conversation to generate a response. Conversations are logged for analytics purposes including topic classification, content gap detection, and sponsor mention tracking.
Technical Data: We collect anonymised technical data such as hashed IP addresses, browser type, and timestamp of interactions. We do not collect or store raw IP addresses.
Website Visitors: When you visit fancompanion.ai, we may collect standard analytics data such as page views, referral sources, and device type.
What We Do NOT Collect: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or any personally identifiable information through the Fan Companion chat widget unless a fan voluntarily provides it in conversation.

Fan conversation data is retained for the duration of our service agreement with the Client. Clients may request deletion of their data at any time. Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained after the service agreement ends.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure database access controls, hashed identifiers, and regular security reviews.
Our servers may be located in different regions depending on the Client's deployment requirements. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place. For Clients operating in the European Union, we comply with GDPR requirements for data transfers. For Clients operating in Australia, we comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

The fancompanion.ai website may use cookies for basic analytics and functionality. The Fan Companion chat widget uses a session token stored in the browser to maintain the conversation. No tracking cookies are used in the chat widget.
Our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
